A Comprehensive System

Gone are the days of shared folders and updating LMS pages each semester. Streamline your PLA process with a single, centralized system that collects information, tracks progress and awards, and communicates with student, administrator, and faculty reviewer.

Make it personal

The system not only tracks prior learning evaluations but also enables advisors to create personalized pathways for individuals to achieve their goals. It provides faculty with expert recommendations and reviews awards, considering all aspects of prior learning, including microcredentials.

Enable strategic decision making

Customize just-in-time and aggregated reporting to analyze the success of PLA, identifying best practices and optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact. The system helps identify backlogs and delays, calibrates efforts across departments, and drives outcomes with measurable ROI.

Single point of information

Simplify the faculty review process by centralizing it in a single repository that includes reminders, value statements, and learning evaluation information. This system streamlines course approvals and feedback, and supports accreditation reviews with detailed approval tracking.

What are the ethical implications of using AI for PLA with EAS?

EAS is a closed system that is based 100% on the institution’s policy guideline and the faculty retain 100% authority for approving and denying. The algorithm is only trained on approved results. EAS creates a systematic way to bring transparency to a traditionally opaque process. Anyone with administrative access to the system can see what was reviewed by whom date and time stamped. Data is then available for strategic decision making: numbers of students starting, stopping, completing, time for each piece of the process, final credits reviewed, final credits awarded, majors/disciplines that are trending and where more resources are needed.

Yes, we designed the platform for institutions that are at any stage in their PLA evolution. The data garnered from the platform will help to drive unprecedented insights for data-driven strategic decision-making around modifying policies, practices, and resourcing (from training to institutional partnership to PLA fees).

Yes, our team of higher education professionals can work with you [and/or your team] on everything from building, refining, measuring, or implementing. Our system is based on the CAEL standards and we are committed to creating the optimal PLA for each institution’s context.

The platform was designed modularly enabling institutions to choose the preferred deployment. For optimal outcomes, we recommend using the partner side to build out an comprehensive equivalency table (if you don’t already have one) allowing for the system to differentiate institutionally equated experiences (exams, certifications, bootcamps, apprenticeships and training programs) from experiences that haven’t already been considered.

We have a flat annual fee for unlimited access to institution’s faculty and staff. Then the students and partners licences are purchased in non-expiring bundles. Both students and partners have unlimited access to update their submissions over time on a singular license.

No – we honor the authority of faculty in making all equivalency decisions. We use AI to map the individual’s experience or partner’s offerings to your college catalog. The faculty will receive recommendations of potential equivalencies that they can approve or deny or provide alternative courses for. We then train the algorithm based on the faculty decisions to make it a better “helper” for future recommendations.

We have a proprietary algorithm that is trained to the institution’s specifications. Each institution has a separate instance on AWS with state of the art security and protection. (link to privacy doc)
